It occurred to me the other day, while in a rather pessimistic mood about the world in general, that with the Developer Tools Interface Builder, you can put together a snazzy, fully-functional GUI...that unfortunately doesn't do anything other than look good.

Good enough for slick screenshots on a website, for instance.

You can see where this is headed....

I've been hoping against hope that with the passing of the promised "just two more weeks" we might now be shooting for an April 1st release, (Ah, yes, being in Japan so many years, I'd forgotten the significance of today's date <g>) but that, too, seems less and less likely. (A bit premature, I guess, given that my location puts me 13 hrs ahead on the timeline; I'll continue to watch the website through tomorrow morning, FWIW.)

Come on, people, even a buggy beta is betta than nothing! Supply a "Caveat Usor" listing the known problems and leave it up to us whether or not to download and give it a whirl. Surely Nisus X as it stands can't be as bad as early Safari (doin' the Serengeti on your Home directory)?

Yet another day of shifting back and forth between TextEdit and Word....(sigh)
