But you can just add a few returns at the end of the file and then go back to working at the end of your real text, right?
This problem never occurred in my recent book, but that's most likely because various kinds of text crud (that I wrote) seem to collect at the end of the document, usually several blank lines, or even pages, after the practical end.
One advantage to not being a neat person, I suppose.
