Hi David,

From within NWE use the Help menu and select Nisus Writer Express Help. The Help Viewer will open with a list of topics on the left. Click on the one called 'Creating Documents' which will reveal topics under 'Writing and Editing'. All relevant documentation you need is found under 'Finding and Replacing Text' and the subtopics up to and including 'a PowerFind example'.
In NWE, the Find and Replace expressions you need become available when you click the Show Find/Replace Browser button (next to 'Find what' and 'Replace with') in both the Find/Replace drawer or, if you prefer, in a separate window (if you check 'Show Find in a Separate window' in the Display Options).
Hope this will help.

Hamid

Every week I need to produce a document that takes a paragraph, breaks it at sentence boundaries, and indents it much like an outline.

For example, I need to convert:

to:
The dog went up the hill to look for a tree
He found none but and looked around in despair
"What must a poor dog do to find an outhouse?" he asked

(with spacing provided by a tab)

Here's what I tried, searching on ". " It works in Mariner Write (with its not-at-all sophisticated search capabilities) but in NWE winds up giving me one word (with the last character deleted) per line in PowerFind. In normal find, it deletes the period and space but doesn't put in the return or tab.

Any advice on how to do this? BTW, is this documented anywhere?

Thanks,
