I'm a newbie here. I saw the notice about v2.0. What I'm looking to do is
figure out how to automatically create an envelope in a new document if
I've selected the address in an open document.
I've written a script that will copy a selection. Open a stationary pad
file of an page formatted for an envelope and copy the selection to the
new document. It works when run from Script Editor but the script runs
too fast from the Macro menu and what happens is the original document
will get replaced with the selection. Then a new blank envelope document
will open. Not exactly what I had in mind.
If I change the script to use 'make at front of documents new document
with properties {text:addressee}' then I get a new document in front with
the addressee as the text but I have to do all the page formatting and
margin setup. I've looked through the AppleScript dictionary of NWE and I
don't see what all the properties for the 'make new document' command are.
Anyone with some pointers to how I can do this? Thanks.
