Hi, I'm pleased to announce the availability of a new stable release of the Nix Packages collection. Release 0.12 can be found at
http://nixos.org/releases/nixpkgs/nixpkgs-0.12/ Also, the stdenv-updates branch has been merged into the Nixpkgs trunk. Thus the trunk is now based on GCC 4.3.3, Glibc 2.9 and X.org 7.4. When upgrading NixOS via "nixos-rebuild switch", you need to reboot to make the upgrade take effect. This is because an apparent incompatibility between the pre-merge and post-merge Upstart. *** Release notes *** The release notes can also be found (in a nicer format than ASCII) at http://nixos.org/releases/nixpkgs/nixpkgs-0.12/release-notes/.
