nixos-hardware-scan > /etc/nixos/configuration.nix
This line should be the first line (hardware-scan is outdated)
> {config, pkgs, ...}:

Take the fileSystems section from there.
Note: there is a svn repo called configurations containing many advanced
examples.
I'm still puzzled about the error. Can you try whether the error goes
away when using output of nixos-hardware-scan ?
