This branch is a staging area to merge the modifications necessary for
parallel building from stdenv-patches into trunk. Rob Vermaas will
create a Hydra jobset for this branch, meaning that Hydra will compile
binaries for the new stdenv. Once those packages are available, the
patches can go into trunk without causing massive re-compilation (at
least not for those who use binary packages).
