Hi, I just updated sudo to 1.8.3p2 (see http://www.sudo.ws/sudo/alerts/sudo_debug.html)
The build gives the following "Permission denied" errors - are these to be expected? I thought sudo works for me, that's why I pushed the change, now I saw, that it is still version 1.7.2 - not sure what to do to get really new sudo - 'nixos-rebuild switch' was not enough. post-installation fixup stripping (with flags -S) in /nix/store/nzxvi87n773dzmf9lv9ckjp06piaz9g5-sudo-1.8.3p2/libexec /nix/store/nzxvi87n773dzmf9lv9ckjp06piaz9g5-sudo-1.8.3p2/bin /nix/store/nzxvi87n773dzmf9lv9ckjp06piaz9g5-sudo-1.8.3p2/sbin strip:/nix/store/nzxvi87n773dzmf9lv9ckjp06piaz9g5-sudo-1.8.3p2/bin/sudoedit: Permission denied strip:/nix/store/nzxvi87n773dzmf9lv9ckjp06piaz9g5-sudo-1.8.3p2/bin/sudo: Permission denied strip:/nix/store/nzxvi87n773dzmf9lv9ckjp06piaz9g5-sudo-1.8.3p2/sbin/visudo: Permission denied patching ELF executables and libraries /nix/store/nzxvi87n773dzmf9lv9ckjp06piaz9g5-sudo-1.8.3p2/sbin/visudo open: Permission denied /nix/store/nzxvi87n773dzmf9lv9ckjp06piaz9g5-sudo-1.8.3p2/bin/sudoedit open: Permission denied /nix/store/nzxvi87n773dzmf9lv9ckjp06piaz9g5-sudo-1.8.3p2/bin/sudo open: Permission denied /nix/store/nzxvi87n773dzmf9lv9ckjp06piaz9g5-sudo-1.8.3p2/libexec/sudo_noexec.so patching script interpreter paths sed: can't read /nix/store/nzxvi87n773dzmf9lv9ckjp06piaz9g5-sudo-1.8.3p2/sbin/visudo: Permission denied sed: can't read /nix/store/nzxvi87n773dzmf9lv9ckjp06piaz9g5-sudo-1.8.3p2/bin/sudoedit: Permission denied sed: can't read /nix/store/nzxvi87n773dzmf9lv9ckjp06piaz9g5-sudo-1.8.3p2/bin/sudo: Permission denied -- Florian Friesdorf <[email protected]> GPG FPR: 7A13 5EEE 1421 9FC2 108D BAAF 38F8 99A3 0C45 F083 Jabber/XMPP: [email protected] IRC: chaoflow on freenode, ircnet, blafasel,OFTC
