Ah, right, you'll need something like nix-env -iA nixos.nixpkgs.nix. If that path doesn't work (that's for the nixos channel, you may need something different), look for a directory named "nixpkgs" in ~/.nix-defexpr (or its subdirectories), and do nix-env -iA nix -f ~/.nix-defexpr/path/to/nixpkgs > I've found a workaround here [1], but it didn't help. > > Do you have any other ideas?
