That's very interesting. So even if fetchgit would work with ssh I still wouldn't know how to provide keys in an elegant way. So under these circumstances, I wouldn't be that interested in fixing fetchgit anymore. (I generally wonder how to deal with secrets when using nix/nixos/nixops, but that's stuff for another thread, I guess.) Thanks for your insight.
