Hey all,

Just wanted to show you guys Facebook's OS Query:
https://code.facebook.com/posts/844436395567983/introducing-osquery/

It appeared on HN recently.

As soon as I read it, I began thinking that one could actually use Nix
as a datastore that you can query. In fact I think you can already do a
bit of this, I remember using nix-repl and you could query nix about the
current system.

So we could have something similar to OS query, but designed for Nix,
with the ability to do atomic changes as well.

What that means is that we now have a kind:

1. Schema <-> Nix configuration files
2. Query engine <-> nix-query

What do you think?

Thanks,
Roger
