I disagree that installing by name is not "sane". At least until nix
deprecates "install by pkgname" and starts suggesting "install by
attrname".

Currently, nix _itself_ suggests to the user that ruby is installed
with "nix-env -i ruby". So this is definitely a bug in ruby/bundler
packaging, as far as I'm concerned.
