Nix on other systems has problems, and https://github.com/NixOS/nix/pull/452 is an attempt to solve some of those.
However, it has been sittin in PR limbo for over a year. Is Eelco not aware, or too busy? Anything I can do to help? To me, Nix on other OSes is a "gateway drug" to NixOS, so I don't understand why we don't make it as smooth as possible. Wout. -- Wout. (typed on mobile, excuse terseness)
