Hello Nick,

I've read JIRA entry 431 with interest. Thank you for adding nlog4j and slf4j to the Ibiblio maven repository.

If my memory serves me correctly, jmxtools.jar ships with JMX 1.2 Reference Implementation which you can download at [1]. Unfortunately, that site is overloaded and cannot be used to download JMX 1.2 Ref Impl. So I could not verify whether jmxtools.jar ships with the reference implementation.

Come to think of it, considering that JMX support in log4j is quite incomplete, we could remove the JMX dependency in nlog4j altogether. I would assume that very few or even no users would be affected. Would removing the nlog4j dependency simplify things for you?

Hi,
I'm trying to locate jmxtools.jar, to represent it as a dependency in a Maven project.xml for nlog4j. Once this dependency is worked out, we can begin to use nlo4j in ApacheDS.

Could you please tell me where I can download it from? Does it contain a necessary implementation to compile nlog4j or is there a substitute you could suggest?
