I find javascript, php, and the like very nice and interesting, but for some of the same reasons we try and do most things in Perl, I'd really like us to adopt cgi (though the perl CGI module) as our standard for web interfaces. No, it's not the most beautiful, but it seems quite portable and secure, and consistency makes it easier for us to understand each other. The SenseClusters, Google-Hack and WordNet-Similarity web interfaces are all Perl/CGI based. As we add to our base of web interfaces, I'd like to keep things consistent this way. NSP really needs a web interface badly, and it probably has for a long time. :) Anyway, I don't think anyone is planning anything that contradicts the above, I just thought I would mention this in the event it ever comes up.
