As some of you know, we are working on preparing a CD for distribution at ACL and AAAI this summer. We are having 500 CDs printed up by a company in the Twin Cities called MediaXpress. They did our CDs last year and I have once again really enjoyed dealing with them. http://www.mediaxpress.net
In any case, a big part of the CD is of course the art work that goes on the CD. This year Anagha took charge of that (thank goodness!) and came up with a design I like very much. You can see it here: http://www.d.umn.edu/~tpederse/UMD_disc_proof.pdf I am very fond of this idea of creating CDs - I realize that in this era of the internet it seems a bit quaint, but there is something very exciting to me about having an actual physical thing you can give to someone.
