Below is a great idea, and in fact something Sid and I were talking about
at ACL - creating a Knoppix style CD of our software, so people can run it
without having to install. Well, these clever folks at AAAI are
supporting their tutorial with such a CD! I look forward to talking to
them about the details of how they put this together, and if there are any
downsides to this.

BTW, I have been a closet roboticist for years now. :)

Subject: AAAI 05 Pyro Tutorial

Greetings AAAI Pyro Workshop participant,

We are writing to let you know that we will be providing a bootable CD-ROM
disk that you can use during the workshop on Saturday. This disk can be
booted on Intel-based laptops and computers which can boot from the CD-ROM
drive. The disk doesn't alter your harddrive at all, so it is safe to use.
You can have this "Pyro LiveCD" disk, and make copies of it too.

So, if you have such a laptop, you might wish to bring it. That way, we
can have some hands-on activities as well during the workshop.

Looking forward to discussing Pyro, Robotics, and AI with you!

-Doug Blank and Holly Yanco
