Subject: Celebration of Women in Computing - February 12-13
To: [email protected]

The first regional celebration of Women in Computing for the upper
midwest will take place on ** February 12-13, 2010 ** on the
Minneapolis campus of the University of Minnesota.

This regional meeting, modeled after the Grace Hopper celebration,
will provide an opportunity for women to explore computing, to
network with other women from academia, industry and government,
and to create friendship among women in the region who share the
same interest and passion for computing.  The celebration is part
of a nationwide effort to address the alarming decline of women
choosing computer science professions.

Visit http://minnewic.cs.umn.edu/index.html for more details.
Activities will include posters, research talks, panels, career
mentoring, and fun.

Please put this event on your calendar and inform your students of
this opportunity.  Deadlines for submissions, registration, and
scholarship applications will be announced soon.

Thank you for any help you can provide in publicizing this event
to your students.
