This just popped out of my newly opened terminal via 'fortune':
"Perhaps Debian is concerned more about technical excellence rather than
ease of use by breaking software. In the former we may excel. In the
latter we have to concede the field to Microsoft. Guess where I want to go
today?
-- Manoj Srivastava"
Makes me think that a toilet would look nice with the old "Where do you want
to go today?" ad campaign ;)
To make this post more relevant and in tribute to Manoj's continued "command
of the week" posts...
I recommend looking into Zim - 'a desktop wiki'
http://www.pardus.nl/projects/zim
It's a very simple wiki that easily incorporated the existing file structure
of my notes in text files.
There are a lot of good features that make me a fan, but don't get the idea
that it's a great WIKI in the normal sense. Think of it as a personal wiki,
keeping track of your daily goings on and notes in a good format - yet super
easy to read and exit on the command line as well for those times when
you're working remotely.
