I'll just point out that it's quite likely, since they're on satellite, 
that they are already running caching/compression software. I know that 
that was provided when I had Starband, along with special drivers than 
monkeyed with the TCP protocol (waiting for ACKs is problematic with 
satellite stuff).

I still have my old Starband equipment if anyone is interested in 
monkeying with it.
