I know many of you run Asterisk in many different ways. Well I have a couple of pretty high volume boxes and having one perplexing thing going on with them.
The /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail directory is growing huge. We have asterisk pointed at an oracle database for its info and storage of those voicemails. It works fine, but for some reason in the tmp directory under the spool its keeping the 3 copies of the voicemail, in the formats we chose of course. This is filling up the hard drive pretty quick. Does it not purge these files? Way I understand it keeps those files and a text file in that dir so that you dont step on voicemails being left at that instance. Shouldn't it remove these files after it pushes them to the oracle database? Or after it emails them out? All these servers do is serve up voicemail...nothing more. Just wondering why these tmp files arent being cleaned up, i suspect some are, and some arent. Any tips or suggestions? -- -Kevin "You can't turn a pig into a thoroughbred, but if you spend enough time and money, you sure can make a mighty fast pig" --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "NLUG" group.
