I'm trying to erase the contents of a CD-RW that has a few files on it. I'm not having any luck (Linux or Windows), so I think it's "stuck" as is. It's only been written to once, and the current contents read fine.
I've tried variations of the commands (with -force option, using generic raw driver, etc.), but all result something like below. Is it stuck after one write? # umount /dev/sr1 # wodim blank=all -immed dev=/dev/sr1 -v TOC Type: 1 = CD-ROM scsidev: '/dev/sr1' devname: '/dev/sr1' scsibus: -2 target: -2 lun: -2 Linux sg driver version: 3.5.27 Wodim version: 1.1.8 SCSI buffer size: 64512 Device type : Removable CD-ROM Version : 5 Response Format: 2 Capabilities : Vendor_info : 'HL-DT-ST' Identification : 'CD-RW GCE-8400B ' Revision : 'B104' Device seems to be: Generic mmc CD-RW.
