Sorry for the way off OT post here, but, the Department of Computer
Science at MTSU has recently initiated an effort to reach out and connect
with alumni and anyone else interested in getting current news and
happenings from the department by way of a Facebook Fan Page. They are
also hoping it will develop into a channel that they can solicit feedback
from interested parties on curriculum, initiatives and directions they
should consider down the road. So if you are an alumni or someone who
maybe hires from there, please considering joining in.
I got both my BS ('88) and MS ('95) in Computer Science from there and
volunteered to help get the word out. I know there are several of you
here that also graduated from there as well so I decided to toss up a
quick note on the list here (seemed the simplest way). I know Facebook is
also not everyone's cup of tea, but the incoming department chair was
already a Facebook'er and it seemed as good a starting place as any. BTW,
you also don't have to have a Facebook account to browse a FB Fan page,
but to participate you would have to sign up. The URL is:
