But Attachmate is concurrently selling *all* 882 of Novell's patents to a holding company that Microsoft organized and is a major owner of. As I am understanding, this includes patents that cover Unix. Not sure if Attachmate is letting go of Unix copyrights though. They plan to keep SUSE but as a separate business unit form Novell's legacy unit. Remember, Microsoft was found to be financially backing SCO's primary bid to up-end Linux over the Unix infringement issues. ________________________________________________________ Mark J.
