Kristin McKinney Senior Recruiting Consultant ICA Informatics [email protected] Summary of Position The Operations Support Engineer will have strong system administration skills responsible for working as a part of ICA’s technology team to set-up, manage and execute daily system administration tasks, assist with release configuration and deployment efforts as well as provide technical support for client implementations. This position falls within the combined Technical Operations Group responsible for: Level 3/4 support of “live” customers, including interaction with ICA client support and development groups. Support of technical implementation and integration groups. Client-facing operational imperatives Oversight and implementation of systems and software Oversight and implementation of critical monitoring and alerting infrastructure Crafting and communication of operational policies and procedures. Oversight and implementation of corporate IT infrastructure including applications, systems and policies. Oversight and implementation of security, audit and compliance policies and procedures. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Participate in day-to-day operational duties such as system deployment and maintenance. Provide support to technical implementation and integration groups. Perform application configuration and deployment. Help to craft, communicate and drive adoption of key operational and support policies, procedures and documentation. Participate in after-hours ICA on-call support rotation Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Skills A thorough understanding of web based application technologies, including n-tier architecture. History of working with both technical and non-technical client personnel to Explain tasks, concepts and instructions. Troubleshoot technical problems. Coordinate multiple activities involving multiple parties. Expert knowledge of the Linux platform, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS. Detailed experience with Apache HTTP Server Strong understanding of build, release and deployment processes for software. Familiarity with monitoring platforms and concepts. Strong experience with shell based tools and scripting. Desired Skills Database programming skills. Perl development experience. Familiarity with source code management systems such as Subversion. Experience managing windows based servers. Minimum Qualifications Two-year degree in computer related field (MIS, CIS, CS) or equivalent experience Experience working in a high client contact environment Established organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Four-year degree in computer science or related field At least one year of experience in customer contact and consulting At least one year of experience in small project management At least three years experience in writing detailed technical specifications Knowledge of healthcare industry Knowledge of how computers are used in a hospital environment. Working Relationships Product Support Team This position will facilitate proper handoffs of newly implemented systems; and act as a resource in interface troubleshooting.
