The blackblaze folks give you a parts list, and howto build your own, they don't sell the units, they do make them for themselves. Basically it is a box, install lots of drives and a headless computer, 2 power supplies, and run Linux. To bad their backup service only serves Windows and Mac clients, not Linux (?). But they have opensourced their build, so build and use, no royalties. They do have a blog where all the details are kept. Over half the cost is the disk drives, so get good ones with replacement warranties. If you have the bandwidth, you can use this as your backup, then back it up to Backblaze for $5/mo :) ><> ...
