I haven't tried that yet. good suggestion. I would think it might. Will give it a stab and see what it does later today.
Yeah, "remote desktop" to the Mac isn't on par with RDP on windows, but I haven't tried the "paid" version Apple provides (ARD). I'm still trying to figure out if there is a genuine windows client for ARD, but I haven't made an exhaustive search yet. I did come across a couple of interesting items regarding the VNC method: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/24976/is-there-a-windows-remote-d esktop-client-compatible-with-lions-virtual-display http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/chrome-remote-desktop-extension-allows-you-to -remote-control-systems-via-your-browser-10-10-2011/ The Chrome extension thing looks very intriguing! Since I just finished upgrading to vSphere 5.1 Hypervisor, I may take a stab at Mountain Lion on it since, as Chris noted, there is better Apple guest support now. I would prefer to have it on vSphere with a good remote desktop client. :) -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Greg Donald Sent: Friday, September 21, 2012 10:34 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [nlug] creating a linux vm on esxi: bios or efi? 'Cause I tried "desktop sharing" and then accessing it with TightVNC on Linux, but that makes my Mac lock up. -- Greg Donald -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "NLUG" group.
