There was a recent post discussing the use of LXDE in lieu of
Gnome/KDE/Unity ad nausea.
I've been keen to try out later versions of Fedora and Ubuntu but have
dreaded p!ssing with the desktop managers. So I have installed two
different computers, one with Fedora 18 and one with Lubuntu 12.10 -
both running LXDE. I am typing on the Lubuntu system right now.
I like what I see. Yeah, there are some petty little things that are
evidence of the lighter weight desktop not doing as much as say Gnome2.
Thumbs up from me on LXDE.
