Thank you Wesley, Chris, Blake and Mark for your quick responses. I am
aware of kickstart from the PXE boots we do.
Wesley - yes I am building CentOS 6.4 x64 minimal on esxi 5.1. Yeah, I
think it's anaconda.
The challenge with minimal is that I haven't spent anytime to figure out
how to set it up for PXE. So instead, I am mapping the virtual CD to an
ISO on a different datastore. That part all works.
So for grins, I just re-created the LVM without forcing it to a primary
partition (and this matters why??). So now, sda4 is the extended and
the LVM is logical sda5 taking all the space of the extended.
It's installed. As I said at a meeting a long time ago, when CentOS
says minimal, they mean it.
