Did anyone fiddle with the repos, or were there any special driver (for

Not with CentOS, but I got screwed up by such special repos when I went
through some dist upgrades.

Thanks again to all following this episode. I do appreciate the moral support if nothing else.

We configure our servers with additional repos which I have configured on this server just as I have on its predecessors. Those repos are:
  rpmforge
  epel
  rpmfusion (free and nonfree)
  city-fan.

This is a bug standard install, going to be a web server.

What galls me at this point is that trying to reverse out the additional repos still has the system hosed.
