There was a Slashdot article yesterday about the 4k monitors. The writer implied that some users were affected by the low refresh rate and some were not. I use a 2560x1440 27" monitor both at work and home, and I get 106 lines in an xterm window. I can see a lot more of a program with a window that big and I really appreciate it. The idea of a 4k monitor is exciting though I would want to see what the 30 Hertz refresh rate actually looks like.
