I don't know about Watkins' recycling day, but I get routine calls from two recycling companies at my office. Both of whom pick up for free in Nashville and haul electronic waste off for recycling. They may charge a few bucks for CRT's, but are otherwise free. Here is their contact info. I have not used either of them, but they seem like good companies. Take that for what you will.
