I've used them in the past, they're great little boxes, they run a standard Android load. You can install any Android apps that you can on a phone or tablet, and connect a keyboard and mouse to it via the USB connection it has.
I hooked up a USB hub, a Logitech Unifying receiver, a keyboard + mouse, and occasional storage devices to it. If you get the right one for your purpose, they run great.
