I have to confess to not having been the most diligent DIY guy in history (to put it mildly). Also, in video (and audio) production I live on backups and redundancy, in case of ... . Ideally ($$$) it would be good to have a wireless headset mic / body pack / receiver with XLR cables and a camera with XLR inputs (again $$$). If we had the ideal I would still be more comfortable having a (really good) backup.
