What is an effective, and up-to-date, antivirus to run from DVD or thumb
drive? My laptop is dual-bootable between Windows 10 and Ubuntu Linux. It
runs noticeably slower under Windows, while hogging most of my network
bandwidth. Trying to access the web from my phone, while Windows is running
on the laptop, is painfully slow. I have an up-to-date copy of Avast
Antivirus on Windows, which reports that there aren't any viruses, but I
suspect some virus or rootkit is sucessfully hiding itself from Avast.
Thus, I want an antivirus which will boot up on its own.
