Hello NLUG,

I wanted to share an opportunity with NLUG for those inclined to share
their thoughts, opinions, expertise, and experience with open source
software, hardware, communities, etc.

For those unfamiliar, opensource.com "publishes stories about creating,
adopting, and sharing open source solutions" and it's a pretty wide ranging
resource for open source information. One populate column is
https://opensource.com/tags/raspberry-pi-column, written by the education
developer advocate for the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

I've had an article published on unlikely open organizations, focused on a
local theater company, and I've got another about to go live about open
decision making and how the lessons from the Challenger tragedy could and
should have been applied to help avoid the Takata airbag crisis.

So the content ranges from technical how-to's and software engineering best
practices to more abstract discussions of what "open" can really mean. If
you want to contribute, let me know and I'm happy to help facilitate your
contributing to the site. Most articles are short - under 800 words - and
whether you have a concept for a one-and-done or a perpetual column, all
ideas are welcome!

Cheers,
Wesley

Disclaimer - although I do work for Red Hat, with this I'm just a
contributor to opensource.com who happens to be working to widen the pool
of contributors to the site.
