Thank you Dru, Curt, Howard, John and everyone else who helped make the install fest go. Thanks to Howard for being plain and direct in speaking his thoughts on computing without beating around the bush and for prodding me towards Clonezilla.
After half a dozen boot-ups of Clonezilla, I finally succeeded in cloning an old 32 bit Win7 Acer laptop and verifying the image for restore. May I suppose that I can convert said laptop over to Linux and restore it to Win7 later if I need to? If that's the case, that sure adds to available options.
