I am curious as to whether you heard anything about this.

I joined the 'nmh-workers' mailing list on the day you sent your
inquiry, and so far yours is the only message I have seen.  I have
been waiting to see if somebody more experience with 'nmh' would
reply.

Perhaps 'nmh' is in summer recess, or worse :-( .

As far as I can tell, it is not available.  Certainly the method that
works with 'mh' does not work with 'nmh'.  With 'mh' you could simply
say

        inc -help

I did 'strings' on a few of the nmh commands, and that didn't turn up
anything that looked like a list of compile options.  So I would have
to guess that the ability to list the options is not available.
