I've just uploaded what I think is a stable snapshot of the current
nmh to:

<ftp://ftp.mhost.com/pub/nmh/snapshots/nmh-1.0.1-snapshot.19991026.tar.gz>

It's in sync with the CVS tree. I think it's ready for nmh-1.0.2, but
there's been enough changes in the way things work and I lack
sufficient hardware/OSes to fully test it all.

I'd appreciate it if everyone interested could download it and try it
out to see if it works for you. Obviously, if it doesn't compile, let
me know. Otherwise, look for name service errors -- failed name
resolution and the like. I updated the method configure uses to test
for BIND capabilities, and that might cause errors on systems I wasn't
able to test.

This release uses AC_CANONICAL_SYSTEM system to test for a few
OSes and sets the specific #defines in config.h. That combined with the
recent updates means you probablly won't need to manually edit
config.h anymore (unless you traditionally set some of the
non-OS-specific #defines such as locking method).

Hopefully, the CANONICAL_SYSTEM stuff will be gone by the next
release. I've got the not-quite-free SCO cd on order so I can test
it, which is basically all that's left other than the termcap/termio
stuff for vmh, which I think we can safely ignore.

If I haven't heard any complaints by Friday I'll update the revision
to 1.0.2 and release it.
