I didn't get any of that when I subscribed.

I don't think anyone knew this archive existed until now (except you). If
people aren't receiving a message explaining about the archive when they
subscribe to nmh-workers, perhaps a note should be added to the website
mentioning it (and explaining that it's only available to list subscribers).
As was said, address mangling has some non-trivial problems associated with
it, so if we already have a working mechanism to restrict archive access to
list members, sounds like we don't need to worry about putting up a mangling
web interface.
