Right, I know where it's stored and I understand (some of) what it does. I
just wondered if there's an architectural assumption in nmh that the order
of a sequence is important.
I notice it's not possible to advance along a sequence with commands like
next or prev, so this suggests that order may not be important. Your
example shows a sequence that's stored in ascending numerical order; if this
is a strong design assumption of nmh, then I can work around that too. My
problem would arise if sequences could have arbitrary order and this order
is important to something; in such a case I couldn't see doing IMAP nmh
sequences. (Of course, I could store such sequences locally and use
different storage classes for the Sequence and Folder/Message objects, but
that will cause more headaches than it could ever possibly be worth.)
