By any chance has anyone implemented the TMPDIR environment variable?
Have found nmh-1.0.4 does not follow this variable.

Have asked this before and someone suggested mkstemp() should be
following TMPDIR. May be some versions of libc in Linux do but the more
I think of it that is a bad assumption. An application may have its own
temporary scratch space and is deliberately ignoring TMPDIR. An
application such as sendmail might have this requirement.

Anyway, if a new release is forthcoming and nobody has worked on nmh's
creation of temporary files, I may have to make some time to work on it.
