The existing MD5 code is already split into its own file.  If Debian
doesn't like it they can simply rm the file and shared-link against
whatever version of MD5 they ship in /usr/lib.  As long as whatever they
link to is LGPL licensed everyone is happy, and we don't have to change
anything.  But if they so much as touch a letter of the existing nmh
license ...
