I dunno. When I have to deal with maintaining a local version of a 3rd-party package, I still find CVS' vendor branch style of doing things very easy to use. It might not be screaming fast, but when you only import and merge a new external release a few times a year, it works fine. As for git's remote branch management, well it's just obtuse. I did break down and buy the Git book, but it's in Victoria and I am not. (It's okay, with some reading and hindsight behind me it's making more sense this time around ;-) Also, I found the nog :-) --lyndon
