Without more detail, you basically just said "apparently, the internet is sometimes wrong". What you actually found, most likely, was an archive copy of Jerry Peek's MH Book: https://stuff.mit.edu/afs/sipb/contrib/doc/mh-book/ ...which clearly says that it was most recently updated in 1999, just over a quarter-century ago.
