Dear NONMEM users,
the following position may be of interest for some of you:
In clinical practise, the individual dosing of drugs in children is a
great challenge. While clinical decisions are nowadays based on
empirical results, there is a need for a more rational, scientific
approach in paediatric drug therapy. A very promising approach for this
problem are physiologically-based simulation models developed especially
for children. For a corporate project with Bayer Technology Services we
are seeking for a
Pharmacists, Chemists, Biologist or Physician as a PostDoc (13TV-L)
to further develop and validate a physiologically-based simulation model
(PK-Sim). By applying the model to datasets from the clinic dosing
strategies in children will be developed and validated. The project will
be conducted in close collaboration with the Children`s Hospital of the
University Clinic Münster.
Requirements: Ph.D. or M.D. in the area of Clinical
Pharmacy/Pharmacology or Paediatrics. Alternatively, Chemists or
Biologists with a Ph.D. in a pharmaceutical or medical area will be also
considered. Experience in pharmacokinetics are advantageous.
Women are especially encouraged to apply and applications from women
will be preferably considered as far as there are no other reasons for
preferring other candidates. Disabled persons will be preferably
considered. The position is initially limited to three years.
