On November 5, 2011, GSK lost one of its best scientists, Duane Boyle,
following an 18 month battle with cancer. Duane earned a BS in pharmacy from
the University of Wisconsin in 1982 and a doctor of pharmacy degree from the
University of Texas (Austin) in 1985. After completing a post-doctoral
research fellowship in clinical pharmacokinetics at the University of Texas
under Dr. Tom Ludden, Duane was hired by Smith Kline and French Laboratories in
the department of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics in November, 1987. At
the time of his death, Duane was a Director and Site Head in Clinical
Pharmacology Modeling and Simulation, based in Upper Merion, PA. He will
always be remembered by his colleagues as a dedicated, hard working, caring
individual and, being from Wisconsin, a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan. Duane
was a loving and caring husband and father and is survived by his wife Robyn
and children Bradley, Dayna, and Brett. The Duane Boyle Memorial Trust fund
has been established to help fund the education of his children. If you would
