Introduction to Quantitative Pharmacology and PK/PD
for Drug Discovery & Development Scientists
Quantitative pharmacology is vital in drug discovery both for target
validation, optimizing the development of lead compounds and for scaling
compounds to humans. It has also become mandatory for regulatory bodies.
This course gives an introduction to quantitative pharmacology and aims to give
delegates the confidence and encouragement to have a go at PK/PD.
In addition, the course gives a basis to building relationships between
bioscience, medicinal chemistry, DMPK and related scientific disciplines.
The course will be of great value for Drug Discovery & Development Scientists
e.g. pharmacologists, medicinal chemists, safety and clinical scientists,
statisticians, pharmacokineticists, etc. and will also be of value to
regulatory experts.

The 19th Intermediate Workshop on PK/PD Data Analysis:
A four-day Course UsingWinNonlin
This intermediate level workshop provides an interface between the numerical
analysis of PK and PD data and physiological concepts. Based on concepts
provided by the lecturers, participants will apply this information to the
appropriate modeling package (WinNonlin) in hands-on exercises. The workshop is
intended for individuals engaged in the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory
agencies, contract research companies and universities and for others who want
to learn the aspects of model fitting.
