understand the Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of novel drug
candidates. This individual will be responsible for the development and
implementation of the Modeling and Simulation strategy that is aligned with
project needs in order to ensure that the right drug is administered to the
correct patient at the appropriate dose and regimen. The modeling and
simulation activities include developing a strategic and tactical modeling and
simulation plan for projects that include pharmacometric analysis, population
PK/PD models, translational models, physiologically based models, disease
models, exposure-response models, biomarker-efficacy models, clinical trial
simulations, systems pharmacology/biology and other state of the art modeling
and simulation techniques. Key technical responsibilities are to organize,
execute and report modeling and simulation under minimal supervision, as well
as to present work at cross-functional teams, department meetings, and
conferences. Other responsibilities will include planning, writing, and
reviewing relevant clinical documents such as study protocols, analysis plans,
reports and regulatory documents. These will be accomplished by working in
close partnership with other scientists in Clinical Pharmacology, Clinical
Science, Biostatistics and project teams.

Candidates should have demonstrated expertise in PK/PD, Pharmacometrics, and
strong hands-on quantitative skills. Experience with NONMEM, SPLUS, R and/or
other modeling and simulation software is preferred.
A Ph.D. in PK/PD, Pharmacometrics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical
Engineering, Biostatistics or related discipline with 0 - 5 years of industry
