The University Children's Hospital Basel (UKBB) is an independent, 
university-based center of excellence for pediatric and juvenile medicine, as 
well as for teaching and research. The Swiss Tropical and Public Health 
Institute (Swiss TPH) is a public institution with the mandate to contribute to 
the improvement of the health of populations internationally and nationally 
through excellence in research, services, and teaching and training.
We are offering a joint
Postdoc Position in Pharmacometric Modeling
for a dedicated scientist in the field of neglected infectious diseases. This 
will be a joint Postdoc position between Prof. Dr. Jennifer Keiser at the 
Helminth Drug Development Unit at the Swiss TPH, and Prof. Dr. Marc Pfister at 
the Paediatric Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics Research Centre, UKBB, 
University of Basel. The successful candidate will (i) develop and apply 
disease models, (ii) perform pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic and 
exposure-response analyses, and (iii) utilize model-based simulations with the 
goal to optimize dosing of anthelminthic drugs and other antiinfectives in 
adult and paediatric patients.
To best fit into our exciting research team we expect the following 
qualifications:

-       PhD degree in medicine, mathematics, pharmacy or similar with knowledge 
in applied biostatistics and interested in a multidisciplinary work environment.

-       Self-motivated and career-oriented with strong critical thinking and 
communication skills, be well organized, and display initiative and enthusiasm.
The Postdoc will be involved in teaching and supervision of Bachelor, Master 
and PhD students.
A tentative starting date is May 15 2018 but this is flexible.
